This symposium provides an excellent opportunity for the leaders and practitioners of the food industry, as well as the leaders and scientists of the governmental agencies to talk and hear about the Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) as it is used by the agencies, the current advances in various fronts including the standardization of methodology within and between the agencies, along with the obstacles the industry is facing in utilizing this superior technology and the solutions to overcome those hurdles.
