The 2021 contest will open in November 2020.
Presented by Food Quality & Safety magazine, the award honors the dedication and achievement of a food safety and/or quality assurance team that has made exceptional contributions to uphold the highest food standards supported by quantifiable results.
Who should enter?
Any food processor, food service, food retailer, or agricultural organization. It is not for vendors/suppliers or consultants to the food industry. Companies from around the world are welcome to enter.
How do I enter?
In the fall of 2020, we’ll post a survey with a few brief questions that you’ll need to complete to enter your company into the competition.
What if my company is chosen as a finalist? What additional information do you want in the comprehensive entry?
If your company is contacted as a finalist, you will be asked to fill out a comprehensive entry form. You need to provide details that back up your answer to the preliminary questions. For example: Question 1. In the last 12 months, has your company invested in new technologies to improve the safety and/or quality of your products? In the preliminary questionnaire you answered Yes or No. In the Comprehensive entry, you will need to detail, including tangible proof, your company’s investment in new technology. You need to follow this pattern for every question on the preliminary survey. To see an example of a past entry, click here (MS Word doc, 7.2MB).
The comprehensive submissions will be judged by a panel of experts, which consists of members of the Food Quality & Safety Editorial Advisory Panel and its industry editors.
What do I get if my company is selected as the winner?
You will receive a beautiful custom-designed award to display at your company. We will also write a profile article about your company in Food Quality & Safety magazine. You will join a growing list of prestigious companies that include such winners as US Foods, Backyard Farms, Mastronardi Produce, Michigan Turkey Producers, Fieldale Farms, West Liberty Foods, Hormel, and more.
